SIP & SUPPORT AWARENESS & ADVOCACY!
Families Advocating Autism Now (FAAN) was founded by seven mothers with children diagnosed with autism in the Humboldt County, California area. The FAAN board now consists of mothers of children with a diversity of needs.
We are dedicated to finding new and better ways to help the education system adapt to the growing and changing needs of these students. Our group of mothers, fathers, and families are dedicated to providing these individuals opportunities to succeed in extraordinary ways.
Since FAAN's inception in 2009, we have given out more than 60 iPads and over $20,000 in monetary donations to the local education system on the North Coast. The funds and technology granted were specifically provided for students on the spectrum to use and benefit from in their classroom.
Furthermore, over 250 water therapy swim grants have been provided for children with autism that could otherwise be vulnerable as we endeavor to support water safety.
We depend on the generous financial support of our community to continue to carry out our mission.
